Thank you very much for your summer holiday diary. Most diaries are very interesting to me. I think you enjoyed your summer.

I will return your diary to you later. I haven't written my comments or corrections on your diary because it is your nice memory, so you should keep it for your record. I will make some comments in class.

Today you will read the textbook and study grammar, and you will prepare for the next presentation. In this semester, you will focus on news clips. For example,

Week 7

Dear students,

Thank you very much for your email about the films or movies last week. I read your email. Most are very good and I enjoyed reading your favorite films and episodes about the movies.

 Movies are very good resources for you to improve your English and fun anyway. I like movies, too. My favorite movie is How green was my valley. It was a very old white-and-black movie.

I would like you to watch it on the following website of YOUTUBE.


I have watched this movie again and again. I watch it once a year. I am always moved by the story which shows that a boy grows up with his family and local people.

There are many wonderful movies, so I hope you watch lots and learn English or other languages through movies.

About your emails, your English is almost good. You can write your English very well. Don't worry about grammatical mistakes or some strange expressions. The point is, whether or not you can tell what you want to say. Please try to communicate what you say in English. The more you write or speak, the better you can write or speak. Practice and practice hard, and you will make your English perfect.

Thank you anyway, and I hope you will email me in English sometimes.
